Then, in the sixth fight of the tournament Team Pettis pits 5 ranked Aisling Daly against 12 ranked Angela Magana for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals.

Team Melendez's losing streak is creating some tension with the women coming together as a team and it creates a total divide. They designate Emily Kagan as the messenger. Controversy ignites again within Team Pettis because several fighters now want to train two sessions per day, not just one as preciously agreed upon. The next morning, Markos decides to attend the morning session, much to the chagrin of Carla Esparza.
